Formatting Texts in word 2007
Style is an enhancing tool use for formatting font typefaces, font size so as to create effects.
Clicking on the Home tab on the ribbon displays buttons that could be used to change Font and Paragraph Styles.

Change Font Typeface and Size
How To change Font Typeface:
- Click the arrow next to the font name and choose a font.


- Note: when you highlight text and click on the arrow, a dropdown menu will appear showing you a preview on how a chosen font type looks.
To change the font size:
- Click the arrow next to the font size and choose the size you want.

How to use Bold, Italics and Underline
Select the text, words or sentences.
Go to the font group on the ribbon
Click on:
B to bold

I to change to Italics
U to Underline
How to Change Text Color
To change your word or setence text color:
- Select or highlight the text, word or sentence
- Go to the font group on the Ribbon and click the arrow beside the A
- Choose the colors you like.

How to Highlight Text, Words or Sentence
Highlighting text, words or sentences could be used for emphasis. E.g.

To do this, Select the text
- Click the AB or Highlight Button on the Font Group of the Ribbon.
- Click on the arrow beside it to drop down the color menu
- Select a color that sooths you.

How To Clear Highlighting
To clear highlighted text :
- Select the text you wish to clear the formatting
- Click the dropdown arrow beside the AB on the font group of the Home Tab
- Click click ‘No Color’
