How to Change Font Typeface and Size
Most Windows programs as I did mention before have similar mode of operation, especially formatting. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and others, which we will be acquainted with later on, share similar way on text formatting.
To change the font typeface in your presentation:
- Click the arrow next to the font name and choose a font.

To change the font size:
- Click the arrow next to the font size and choose the size you wish.
How to Bold, Italics and Underline your text.
To Use Bold, Italic, and Underline:
Select the text and click the Font Styles included on the Font group of the Home tab
How to Change Text Color
To change the text color:
- Select the text and click the Colors button included on the Font Group of the Ribbon
- Select the color you want by clicking the down arrow next to the font color button.
How to insert WordArt into your presentation
WordArt are used to add a visual effect into you presentation.
To apply Word Art:
- Select the text
- Click the Insert tab on the Ribbon
- Click the arrow under the big ‘A’ WordArt button
- Choose the WordArt
How To modify the styles of WordArt
- Select the WordArt
- Click the Format tab for the Drawing Tools
- Click the WordArt Fill button, the WordArt Outline button, or the Text Effects button
How to Change your Paragraph Alignment
This feature allows you to position you texts or paragraphs at the left ,centre, or right side of your presentation.
To change the alignment:
- Click the Home Tab on the Ribbon
- Go to the Paragraph Group and choose the alignment applicable to you.
- Align Left: Text is aligned with your left margin
- Centre: Text is cantered within your margins
- Align Right: Aligns text with the right margin
- Justify: Aligns text to both the left and right margins.

How to Indent your Paragraph
To indent your paragraphs, do the following:
- Click the Indent buttons to control the indent.
- Click the Indent button repeated times to increase the size of the indent.
To change the text direction:
- Select the text
- Click the Text Direction button on the Home tab
- Click to choose your desired direction.
