How to Set Paragraph Indents in Word 2007

Paragraph Indents is used in a document to differentiate between paragraphs. Paragraph indentation can be done either at the right or left margins. A quick indentation could be done using the Tab key. Place your cursor at the beginning of a paragraph, word or sentence you need to indent, and then press the Tab key.

To indent a paragraph, follow these steps:

1.   Click the Paragraph, or select multiple paragraphs to indent.

2.   Click the Home tab

3. Click the Increase indent button or Decrease Indent button (to move the paragraph to the right or left at half an inch.

 

How To Set Indentation Using Tab Key

1.   Click the Office button, click Word Options

2. In the left pane, Click Proofing, then click AutoCorrect Options
 
 
3.   Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab
4.   Select the Set Left-and-first-indent with tabs and backspaces check to box.
