Microsoft Office Button
As in all Microsoft office programes, The Microsoft Office Button perform various functions. This button allows you to create a new database, open an existing database, save and save as, print, send, or close.
The Ribbon
At the top of the Microsoft Window is the Ribbon, which you can call the control panel. On it are tabs:
Home, Create, External Data, and Database Tools. Datasheet etc. Each tab is divided into groups. These groups hold some features designed to perform different function that you will use in developing or editing your Access database. Some commonly used features are found on the Ribbon. These features are in groups, clicking on the arrow at the bottom of each group enables you to view some of its function buttons.
Below are the list of features of the tabs and groups:
Home: Views, Clipboard, Fonts, Rich Text, Records, Sort & Filter, Find
Create: Tables, Forms, Reports, Other
External Data: Import, Export, Collect Data, SharePoint Lists
Database Tools: Macro, Show/Hide, Analyze, Move Data, Database Tools
Quick Access Toolbar
The quick access toolbar contains commands for you to use if you want to customise your database. By clicking on the arrow button at the bottom of the quick access bar exposes other commands:
